Dorman Pushbutton Switches Editorial Review

The Dorman 85935 Electrical Switches is a push button metal starter switch designed to replace the starter switch on the ignition key, which energizes the starter relay. It's rated to 20amp and has a mounting hole diameter of 1/2". The switch appears heavy duty for a car application and is easy to install. However, the terminal screws are too close to the steel tabs, which may cause a positive wire to go to ground when you push the button. Overall, the product is highly recommended and has positive reviews from customers who have used it in various applications like lawn mowers, tractors, old cars, generators, and diesel engines. It's also used as a kill switch on pulling garden tractors. The product is simple to use, appears durable, and works well as a cheap replacement for a broken starter switch. However, some customers have had issues with the switch breaking after a few days of use.
